When you walk outside your home, you don't expect to encounter wild animals all the time. Maybe a squirrel or two, or if you live in a wooded area, a deer may appear. But nothing truly frightening will make an appearance.
Although, if you ask this couple, big scary animals live closer to home than you might expect.
But in Australia, seeing creepy crawlies of all kinds is pretty much the norm. The continent is home to people and a host of strange and exotic creatures sure to make your spine tingle. The two groups live in a mostly peaceful coexistence, but sometimes these animals come knocking on the front door.
Almost literally, in the case of one homeowner, who took some truly astounding footage.
A writhing blob is seen on top of the home's roof, and at first it isn't totally clear what it is.
And then you see it: two snakes – or, in this case, pythons – are tangled and fighting one another.
Snake experts who analyzed the video say that it's mating season for the snakes, and this behavior is common. The fight reportedly went on for an hour before one of the creatures backed down.
Now watch the awesome footage, and you're sure to be thankful for not seeing this outside your home!
Please SHARE if seeing this in person would totally freak you out!
