In my experience, there are three types of dogs: the ones who don’t care about fetch, the ones who think they like fetch until you try to take the ball back, and the ones who would literally play fetch from now until eternity if you let them.
And if you’re at all acquainted with the last type of dog, you know that it can get pretty exhausting after a while, hence the invention of the totally brilliant fetch machine. After all, exercise is great, but we humans need a break sometimes!
But, it turns out, you don’t even need a special machine to keep everyone happy when it comes to fetch. You can just do what one clever dog owner did, and hide your pooch’s favorite toy just out of reach!
While we’ve seen dogs solve some pretty complicated fetch problems in the past, this particular ball seems almost — but not quite — inaccessible. It’s stuck in the interwoven base of a dining room table, providing hours of playtime for a curious German shepherd pup determined not to give up on retrieving her favorite toy.
And, while you might initially assume that there’s no way to solve this problem without lifting up the table, German shepherds are highly intelligent dogs, and excellent problem solvers. Check out the video below to see what she does to finally end this frustrating game of fetch.
And if this pooch’s dogged determination gave you the giggles, please SHARE for anyone who can relate to playing way too much fetch!
