Sometimes a good old-fashioned prank is the only way to make a difference. Greg Benson from Prank It FWD, the same folks who treated the homeless to a day spa, decided to prank a few young musicians from the Harmony Project. The children and teens who participate in the program all come from low-income families, but they want more for themselves than the cards that life has dealt them. The Harmony Project not only teaches them how to play, but they loan them the classical instruments like saxophones, violins, and clarinets. That's pretty remarkable when you think about it. How many kids today do you know who are interested in jazz and classical music?
The only trouble is the instruments are just loans. The kids can't afford their own, which is why they're in the program in the first place. Like they say, it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master something, if these kids can't take their instruments home, they can only go so far. That's where Prank It FWD comes in, Greg tells the kids he's a famous musician making a documentary. They quickly realize he isn't quite Beethoven when he can't play a single note. However, he does leave their jaws on the floor when he surprises them each with brand-new instruments!
