The wilderness of Wyoming is home to many animals that the rest of us in big cities can only dream of seeing. Even in the suburbs, it's hard to come across animals as common as deer! But sometimes they like to get up close to humans, especially if there's a treat involved.
One day, mom Kristine was treated to an extraordinary sight. She noticed a doe regularly coming by her family's house for weeks. However, a 3-foot fence separated them and the animal, and she wouldn't stray beyond the neighbor's property. The fence didn't stop them from feeding the doe apples.
But one day, the mom decided to try something. She figured that the doe would come to the food, even if it wasn't handed to her from over the fence. To test out the theory, she had one of her sons, Wyatt, take the apples and back away form the fence.
And sure enough, she was right! The doe came straight to the boy and easily hopped the fence to get to the yummy treats.
