There's just something about music that can bond people who share a passion or a love for it. You probably already have a song or two you can think of off the top of your head that you consider "our song", whether it's a favorite song shared with a best friend, a family member, or a loved one. When you meet someone and find out that their favorite band or musician is the same as yours, you have an immediate bond over the common interest.
While some people bond over their love of listening to music, others bond over their love of playing music. The beauty of bonds like these is that many time the music doesn't even have to be from the same genre or time period, or even the same language. The love of music overall allows a unique opportunity when two totally different types of music, and people, can combine and make a connection that is totally their own.
In this video, a young man walks up to a busker who he recognizes from a previous evening, a man who also shares a love of playing harmonica.
Similar to the kids who mix up their percussion performances by playing songs from Led Zeppelin, the young man in this video likes to add a little something to his harmonica playing…beatboxing!
After quite the performance, the beatboxing harmonica player asks for donations, all to be handed over to his new friend, who seems overwhelmed with emotion after the extremely kind gesture.
