They Found Four Orphaned Baby Crows In Their Yard… But Now They’re All Grown Up!

You've probably heard the term "bird brain" tossed around throughout your life. Sure, there's not much space for a big old brain inside of a lot of bird's heads… but that doesn't necessarily mean anything!

Some species of birds are incredibly intelligent creatures. Some birds, like parrots, and even some crows, are capable of learning a variation on human speech. In fact, crows are just as smart as chimpanzees, and are capable of solving complicated, multi-step puzzles. So next time someone calls you a bird brain, I'd take that as a compliment!

When one man found a nest of four baby crows fallen from a tree, he tried to put the nest back from whence it came. However, after waiting a bit, he realized that the mother was no more. That's when he decided to help these little birds himself.

With the help of a veterinarian, the birds were hand-fed and cared for so that they'd be able to eventually return to the wild. Being the intelligent animals that they are, all four of these birds quickly caught on to the humans' attempts to teach them their wild bird ways.

What's truly incredible about these crows is that they even learned how to say "Hello" to their people without any provocation to do so. They also used to bring presents of leaves and worms to the humans when they were learning to hunt and gather.

Now, at least a couple of these birds comes back every spring to say "Hello" to their people parents even after they've been accepted by a family of wild birds.
