The talented Ambush Makeover team at TODAY gave two lucky sisters brand new looks that shaved decades off their appearances. Gloria, 59, happened to be visiting the TODAY studio when the Ambush team spotted her and her sister — and their extreme makeover potential.
Gloria is a grandmother who moved to New York to live with and take care of her mother, who has Alzheimer's. She says that people always mistake her for being her sister's mom, and that's because she has little to no time to pamper herself. "I'm very excited and waiting for the outcome of this sister look, not the mother look." Then we've got Gloria's little sister, Marta, a mother of six and grandmother to three. Marta helps Gloria care for their mom, and like her older sister, Marta barely has any time for herself. "She's never done anything for herself. Takes care of everyone but herself," Gloria says.
After a three-hour glam session, the sisters made their big reveal… and both are equally stunning. It's amazing what can be done with a good haircut, some color and texture, a new outfit, and the right attitude. These ladies definitely deserve to be pampered and feel sexy again.
