When you ride on the New York City subway, you have to be ready for just about anything.
You might end up in a car with a screaming baby, or in one with a disturbingly mysterious smell. You could accidentally walk into a middle of a dance performance, where young men and women are flying through the car, swinging on the poles like it's a jungle gym. This is when you have to watch out and make sure you don't get kicked in the face.
One of the most common things to see on a subway, though, is a musical performance. Barbershop quartets, bucket drummers, and guitar players walk in and out of cars, performing for tips or just because they want to spread their cheer and talent.
When this fiddle player was putting on a little show in the corner of a car, none of the passengers really thought anything of it. They sat there minding their own business as most New Yorkers have been conditioned to do.
Then, a guitar player approaches him and asks if he'd like to jam. They start to play together, and it turns into quite the show! At this point, they've turned some heads, and one passenger even moves closer to get a good video of the song.
But when the guitar player starts singing to a woman standing next to her boyfriend? I definitely was not expecting this.
