You know those cheap plastic toothbrushes you can get at the dollar store or Walmart? We've got a whole new use for them thanks to Katrina from Katrinaosity. When you're done with these color toothbrushes, you definitely won't want to put them in your mouth. Instead, these bright colored toothbrushes will be worn on your wrist as bracelets. With their funky colors, they're perfect to jazz up an outfit this summer or to make with the kids (emphasis on "with the kids"). Katrina advises that this project shouldn't be done with kids unless it is keenly supervised. There is boiling water involved after all.
All you have to do is grab a pair of pliers to remove the bristles from each toothbrush. Be sure to choose toothbrushes in the colors you'd like to wear. Next, bring a pot of water to boil. Place the toothbrush in the water for 10 to 15 seconds. Using a rag, carefully bend the plastic into a cuff. The plastic only stays hot for a few seconds, but it's good to be cautious during this process. You can even twist the toothbrush before bending it into a cuff so that it forms a fun spiral pattern. Let the plastic dry. Finally, enjoy the fruits of your labor!
