Eight-Months-Pregnant Pole Dancer Competes In U.K. Dance Competition

Kat Bailey and Danielle Haynes first walk onstage dressed like two grannies. But when MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This" begins to play, the two women kick into high gear. The strange sight is a part of Britain's Pole Theater UK pole dancing competition. Anyone would find the two women's routine impressive as they soar through the air, flip upside down, pick each other up, and dance to the old '80s jam.

However, once you take a closer look at Kat's belly, marked with smiley face in black ink, you would soon realize the dancer is nearly eight months pregnant. That is one strong woman. Kat keeps up with her dance partner just fine as she practically levitates in the air and physically flips upside down, baby bump and all. However, she does admit that she faces criticism for pole dancing while pregnant.

"Some of the fears behind it are unjustified rumor. If you're happy and you listen to your body, there's no reason to give up something that you enjoy doing because you're pregnant," Kat told Daily Mail.

Danielle says that she does play the role of concerned friend and makes sure to modify the moves, or even eliminate some of them, to ensure the baby's safety. What do you think of this pregnant pole dancer's routine? Let us know in the comments.
