Boutique Sells Bridal Gowns To Help Cancer Patients

When Lauren Reid got engaged she knew she would need a wedding dress. The only question was where it would come from. Anyone who has ever had to purchase a wedding gown or even a bridesmaid dress knows how expensive they can be. However, thanks to the Brides Project, not only can brides get their dresses on the cheap, the proceeds go to an amazing cause.

The program collects stunning gowns from salons, designers, and brides who donate them. All of the money goes to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor.

Reid knew she had to get her dress from the boutique, so she went to the store six separate times until the perfect dress arrived. Not only did her beautiful dress help someone battling with cancer, but buying it secondhand is also great for the environment.

"I wanted to, in the process of spending money on a wedding, I wanted it to go to something good," Reid said. She even plans on re-donating the dress after the wedding.

The dresses range from $99 into the thousands and fit everyone from a size 0 to 30, so people of all sizes and price ranges can be sure to find the dress of their dreams.
