Pit bulls can often come with a bad reputation, and some people view the breed — as a whole — as vicious and bad. There are even cities that have breed-specific bans on pit bulls. Part of this is because the pit bull is a popular breed for dog fighting — an activity that is illegal in the United States — and the specific dogs that are trained to fight can be very dangerous through no fault of their own.
It's so sad to think that there are actually people out there in the world who hate these beautiful animals when there is a lot to love about this breed! Pit bulls are programmed to want to please people, and this eager-to-please attitude makes them easier to train than some breeds. They are also very loyal to their owners. Just talk to any pit bull owner, and they will give you a million reasons why they love their dog.
If you are still not convinced that pit bulls can be absolute sweethearts, you have to watch these two adorable pit bull puppies hugging one another as they fall asleep. Even though they can barely keep their eyes open, they keep wagging their tails in their continued cuddle. How sweet!
