The 420-Square-Foot Apartment Has Five Different Rooms!

Graham Hill purchased a 420-square-foot home. That really doesn't sound like much at all. However, when you see what he has managed to do with the small space, I think you'll be inspired to take a second look at your own home, whether it's a tiny home or not. The volume might be small, yet somehow, Graham has created five rooms in his "foldable apartment." With walls and drawers that unravel, unfold, and shift into a master bedroom, guest room, dining room, living room, and kitchen, this definitely a sight to be seen.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a trash compost and dishwasher among the basic essentials like a freezer, stove, and refrigerator. Hill is eco-conscious and believes that an effective way of going green is to simply downsize. Many of the electronics in the house are even solar-powered. The apartment is in New York City, so the pricing may raise your eyebrow. Hill paid $287,000 for the apartment, invested $365,000 in the gut renovation, and is selling it at $995,000.

"Transforming apartments really works best in high cost-per-square-foot areas," Hill told CNN Money. "It's not going to be for everyone. But it absolutely is going to be for a lot of people."
