When people use the term “the best thing since sliced bread,” it really makes me wonder. Are they not aware of the gazillion inventions since sliced bread that are so much more amazing? What about the microwave? Or the coffee maker? Or heated car seats in the middle of winter?
You’ve heard of the ingenious watermelon slicer, right? Even just a glance at the endlessly amazing products on Amazon.com kind of makes the whole “sliced bread” thing seem like its inventor had the best publicist of all time.
Whereas sliced bread gets an undue amount of “best thing” credit, there are some super-fun inventions that are so overlooked, you probably haven’t even heard of them. Trust me, though: these eight gadgets are going to make your life so much better. They may even be the best things since the watermelon slicer.
