When He Sees A Woman Sleeping On The Streets, He Runs To Buy Wood To Build A House

Have you ever seen something that broke your heart, and you wished you could help?

Eric Summers saw a homeless woman named Smokey sleeping in the dirt in his neighborhood, and when he realized no one else cared, he knew he had to do something.

He ran out to The Home Depot, bought some wood, and began his journey as the founder of Starting Human. His goal is to end homeless, one tiny house at a time.

In Los Angeles, CA, there are over 46,000 homeless people. Summers wants to house each and every one of them, but it's not an easy journey. You can't just build a bunch of tiny houses and leave them everywhere, though he wishes he could.

Each tiny house goes to a designated area of donated land. These tiny homes not only provide shelter for homeless people to sleep, but also give them protection, as there is a lot of violence in the homeless community from both within it and outside it.

Summers is also working on a mobile shower, which only costs $2,000, but will be able to help the homeless feel more human again, which is Summers' entire goal. You can see all of his dedication to the cause in the video below!

If you enjoyed this man's hard work, then you will also love this clinician that is making free "house calls" to the homeless to make sure they are getting proper health care.
