The tango has been around for over 100 years and still remains one of the most passionate forms of dance. Quickly after the tango originated in Argentina and Uruguay in the 1800s, this beautiful dance spread across the world. Tango is so beloved and culturally significant that it is even on the UNESCO Intangible World Heritage List.
At London’s 2011 Tango Festival, champion tango dancers from all over the world performed the passionate dance. The pair featured in this video performs with such fluidity, it’s as though they are connected. Watch how quickly — yet elegantly — they move their feet and how impressive their flexible moves are.
I can’t think of any dance out there as passionate and beautiful as the tango. To see it performed at such an expert level only raises my appreciation for its beauty.
