If you're a cat owner, you've likely been privy to the wonder that is cats and their lasers. For those who haven't had the great privilege of watching a kitty chase down a little red beam of light, you're in for a treat.
Lasers are the universal toy that manages to prove that our cats aren't simply ambivalent to our existence (with the exception of mealtime, of course). The internet yields no shortage of videos of cats chasing red dots across entire rooms — flipping, jumping, and employing all feats of acrobatics trying to reach the light.
In the video below, we see a side-splitting compilation video of cats facing off with those elusive pointers, tallying a cat vs. lasers board in the lower right corner. (And I don't mean to be too much of a spoiler, but let's just say that lasers beat out these nimble creatures without exception.)
And lest after watching the below video of cat-shenanigans you find yourself in need of another video of kitties attempting to outwit an inanimate dot flying across the wall, try watching a video of the ways in which big cats and house cats are one and the same — a similarity being, you guessed it, chasing laser pointers.
