Oh my goodness, this is one cruel joke. But rest assured, the final moments make it all worthwhile! Ellen decided to prank a mom and her son for one pretty good reason.
When Ellen heard that 19-year-old Ford Yates gave up his spring break to donate bone marrow and save a stranger's life, she wanted to pay the good deed forward.
I haven't seen a surprise this good since The TODAY Show gave a hardworking single mom her dream kitchen.
Ellen flew Ford and his mom, Linda out to see the show but then she did the unexpected. She hired a cab driver to act a bit like a "nut job." He got lost, said he slept in the car, and did some pretty weird stuff. Let's just say, Ford and Linda were being really good sports in that car ride.
When they finally arrive at their destination, the cab driver gets out removing their luggage, but then he hands them a bag that doesn't look familiar.
"That's not our bag," Linda says. "This is not ours," Ford adds.
"I think the bag is yours," the driver responds, only to then admit, "Ellen heard about what you did. I'm not actually a driver, I work for The Ellen Degeneres Show."
