Doctor Simon Carley has figured out a pretty ingenious way to easily remove a ring without having to cut it apart. A lot of people attempt to use soap, cold water, or olive oil, but that never seems to actually work!
You'd be surprised how often a ring has to be taken off of someone's finger because a patient's finger has swollen, whether it is because of a broken arm, finger, or for any other number of reasons!
Luckily, this English doctor and his crew of cool nurses really know their helpful life hacks! It turns out that all you need is the elastic from an oxygen mask. This actually works better than a string because the elastic better pushes down the swelling.
We just love doctors, nurses, and all the people who put so much time and effort into making other people's lives better.
