It's finally time to start unpacking those heavy brushes and tubes of face paint, because Halloween has nearly arrived. And that means it's time to start giving some serious consideration to this year's costume.
In the video below, YouTube makeup artist Emma Pickles brings us a tutorial that's guaranteed to spook your friends and family. Using scar wax and a fair amount of face paint, Emma transforms herself into Batman's arch nemesis the Joker — that chaos-raising thorn in Gotham City's side and one of DC Comics' most notorious villains.
Emma manages to pack a whole tutorial into four short minutes with easy-to-follow instructions (even for the novice makeup artists among us). For this Halloween look, you'll simply need scar wax, red lipstick, and green temporary hair spray, as well as white, red, and black face paints.
