I don’t know about you, but I always feel like most of the important events I have to go to cluster at certain times of the year.
All the weddings and graduations happen in the early summer, while this time of year, from November to January, is just chock-full of family events and holidays!
And if you ask me, all those events add up to one thing: way too much money spent on fancy “event” clothes. That’s why, this year, I have a new policy!
Instead of shelling out for ensemble after ensemble, I’m going to pick one or two of these adorable holiday dresses, and then try dressing them up in different ways!
My secret weapon in this endeavor? A stunning new tutorial that I found for a homemade evening bag that can easily be made in a whole rainbow of colors. Best of all, like this stunning DIY candle, this cute clutch looks expensive, but costs next to nothing to create!
All you need is faux leather in the color (or colors) of your choosing, a hot glue gun, a decorative metal brad, and this free pattern! Check out how this adorable tutorial comes together in the video below.
And if you can’t wait to make a million of these for every event you have this winter, please SHARE on Facebook for every girl who's still hunting for the perfect holiday accessory!
