Thief Steals Two-Foot Python From Pet Store By Shoving It In His Pants

This is probably one of the oddest — and funniest — clips you'll see all day. We've seen some pretty hilarious behavior lately, courtesy of some petty criminals like these taco thieves and this wannabe skateboarder. But this this pet store thief probably beats them all with one slithery move…

A Portland pet store's security footage shows a man walk into the shop and up to the reptile tanks. Then, he does the unthinkable: he reaches into one of the tanks, pulls out a creature from its enclosure… and shoves the poor animal down the front of his pants before casually walking back out.

Cue the snake jokes!

The animal, according to the pet shop owner, was a two-foot-long black pastel ball python, priced at a relatively cheap $200. The gutsy thief is also very lucky: not only is it a terrible idea to put a snake in your pants to begin with, but he's also lucky he didn't steal the python on feeding day. The animal's big appetite could have spelled big trouble for him.

According to the police, a suspect has been identified: his work and home locations are known. Now, they're expecting him to return the python to its rightful place. The thief has even been seen walking around town… with the python around his neck.
