Woman Seeking Tortoise Walker Gets Bigger Response Than She Imagined!

When Amanda Green strolls through Central Park, she can't help but turn heads. People steal a look of who is in her stroller or who is trailing behind her. No one can believe what they're looking at as they form into a crowd around Henry, the African tortoise. Amanda has had Henry for a couple of years, and the two relish in their trips to the park together. Busier than before, she can't take him to the park as often as she would like.

Amanda decided to hire a "tortoise walker." She expected only two or three responses to her Craigslist ad, but instead she received 400 emails. The job is only for six hours a week, yet animal lovers from as far as Australia were excited to be of help.

"I have a love for animals, especially reptiles," one of the emails read. "I find anything that can't regulate its own body temperature endearing."

Eventually, Amanda chose a part-time pet store worker named Amalia. Henry might be an usual pet, but there's nothing unusual about a few good people offering to help out a woman and her best friend!
