Anchorman Kyle Clark had a few words for a stranger at the end of his segment on Denver's 9News.
His confession and subsequent apology must have shocked all those who were watching the live broadcast — after all, it's not every day that the news gets so personal. He started off his story by stating, "I thought about throwing a rock through someone's car window today."
But this initially shocking bit isn't the entire story. Clark explains why he wanted to, but didn't, make such a drastic move: he saw a dog alone in a hot car.
As all dog owners know, leaving your pets in the heat of a parked car can be deadly and is akin to torture for the animal. Sure enough, Clark heard the dog howling from across the parking lot and whipped out his camera to record the horrifying scene. He thought of several ways to try to get the poor pup into cooler temperatures, but the driver soon returned. And when the anchor confronted the driver about the situation, Clark was simply scoffed at.
Clark knows that the owner surely loves his pet, who is now safe, but wanted to make a heartfelt apology to the suffering dog: he is truly sorry that he doesn't have "better humans."
