One of my favorite tourist activities while visiting new places is checking out their local museums. Even as a kid, I always loved our annual field trips to check out the art — especially when they included interactive aspects.
But apparently, us humans are the only ones who enjoy taking in a little culture. Thanks to a unique exhibit that recently opened in London, England, we now know how much fun our pooches can have, too!
As the world's first ever canine-oriented exhibit, artist and inventor Dominic Wilcox had to really stretch his creative muscles while preparing each installation. Most of the items allow the dogs to play, but there are also more stationary fixtures that still manage to get their adorable little tails wagging.
It might seem bizarre, but the whole thing is part of British insurance company More Than's campaign to encourage owners to spend more active time with their animals.
The walls are lined with dog-eye-level canvases filled with artwork featuring silly and abstract images using the canine visual color spectrum.
This 10-foot-wide food bowl filled with plastic kibble is a dream come true for every pup who's stared longingly at their empty dishes after dinner.
Not only is this car window simulator perfect for those pups who love road trips, but on top of that the fan is blowing scents of raw meat and old shoes for them to sniff up.
A frisbee floating around a monitor keeps them occupied, if not also a bit frustrated at not being able to actually catch it.
This water bowl fountain has to be my favorite part of the display, each one spouting a crisscross stream for them to run through.
I wish I could take my dog across the pond to visit! Hopefully the project will be so successful that we get something like this over here in the U.S.
Take a look at the video below to see more of the awesome exhibit.
And don't forget to SHARE the happy pooches with your friends!
