A dog in Tampa Bay named Tiny proved just how loyal pooches are.
Tommy Skeens and Lara Kuchar had been sleeping on the streets with Tiny after their U-Haul was repossessed, their friend told ABC Action News. One night, a stranger tragically beat them to death at a gas station.
The brave little pooch, however, didn't budge from their bodies, much like the dog who refused to leave the spot where his owner was hit by a car. Tiny sat by them until police showed up.
“He was there defensively protecting their bodies when police arrived at the scene,” the dog’s foster mom, Theresa Lorenzi, told the news station. “They definitely took good care of him and tears are coming to my eyes as I think about it because he was definitely loved and treated as a member of this family.”
In the meantime, Second Chance Friends is looking to find him a new home.
“I don’t think a dog or a person should have to live like that. I don’t know what his history was before that, but I know what it’s going to be. I know how it’s going to go now," said founder Bill Gray.
