We've all heard the term "inside voice" before. Mostly, it's used for small children who don't quite understand that sound reverberates off of solid surfaces, or that Mom, Dad, or their teacher sometimes has a splitting headache.
There aren't many dogs, however, that understand that same concept.
Usually, dogs will bark until their heart's content, at any hour of the day, no matter who's doing their very best to work, sleep, or read a book in peace. There's just no stopping some dogs from being the talkative creatures that they are. And there's definitely no lowering the volume on their very enthusiastic conversations.
Some dogs do, however, know how to speak on command… especially if you've got a treat ready in your hand. Tell them to "speak," and they'll let out a yap.
This dog, though? This dog is different.
This dog knows what an inside voice is, and he knows exactly when he should use it.
I've seen a lot of dogs do a lot of different tricks. Heck, I've even heard dogs say words before. But, I've never seen a dog do this, on command nonetheless.
What's the strangest trick that your dog knows how to do? I'm constantly surprised by the things that pups are willing to do to please their humans. Their devotion has no bounds!
