Live Footage Shows Firefighter Holding Pet Oxygen Mask To Cat’s Mouth After She Stops Breathing

There's nothing scarier than being trapped in a house on fire.

It's intense and terrifying in a way that's unimaginable unless you've been through it yourself.

But what's even worse is being stuck in a fire and knowing that your loved ones are somewhere in the house and you may not be able to reach them.

It's never a good idea to go wandering around a house on fire looking for other people.

We're taught from a young age to decide on a meeting place and to head straight for it in the event of an emergency.

That way you can tell first responders if anyone is still inside and they can go in wearing their protective gear to rescue them.

This is most definitely a situation where it's best to let the trained professionals step in and do their jobs rather than try to do it yourself.

This can be very difficult when an emergency actually happens, but firefighters know what they're doing — even when it comes to saving your pets.

This is something one pet owner learned firsthand when his cat Cleo stopped breathing during her rescue.

Luckily, firefighters had a tiny pet oxygen mask on hand to revive Cleo and her owner was even allowed to step in and hold the mask while he comforted her.
