Guilty Dog Leads Owner Right To Him With A Track Of Suspicious Feathers

We all love our pets, but that doesn't mean that they don't sometimes cause us a healthy helping of trouble.

Cats will rip up your furniture with their claws, mark their territory next to your garage door, and cough up hairballs on your expensive carpet when all they had to do was move three inches to the right to do it on the tile.

Dogs will steal all of your left shoes, bark at your neighbors whenever they walk past your driveway, and drag a bunch of mud into your clean house after a rainstorm.

Yet, we still love them unconditionally. Those are just small prices to pay for the companionship that our furry friends offer.

When this man woke up one morning to some feathers in his hallway, he launched an investigation and found some interesting evidence. Yet, the suspects didn't match the crime until he got to the actual scene of it.

This is the sight he woke up to on this day. He posted a caption on Imgur that reads: "Woke up to find feathers in the hall way. I'm on the case! Possible victim: bird."

He first happened upon his golden retriever, Fenway. He noted that his motive for the crime could be that he is simply a dog, but he also has a good alibi: he's a good boy.

As he moved through the house, the amount of feathers started to grow. This crime may be bigger than originally suspected.

Then, he found his old dog, Brittany. She had a sad look on her face, which is growing white. Her dad moved on in the investigation, because his 13-year-old golden couldn't possibly have committed a crime so large.

Getting warmer…

And there you have it! Jackson, his young and reckless golden sits among a mountain of feathers from the pillows of the couch he most certainly destroyed. There simply is no room for an alibi here.

He doesn't even look like he feels too bad for all of the destruction he's caused!

Well, dogs will be dogs. A couch can be replaced or repaired, but there's nothing that can replace these three sweet faces. What would you do if you found your living room in shambles like this?

Also, if we're being honest with ourselves… I bet all three of them had a little something to do with these shenanigans!
