Colorado Man Rescues German Shepherd With Muzzle Taped Shut

A Colorado man is being hailed a good Samaritan after rescuing an abandoned German shepherd whose muzzle and legs were taped shut.

On Saturday, Carl Allen and his friend were on their way to a car dealership when they noticed the pooch stranded on the road. He quickly jumped out of the car in disbelief, calling the scene “terrifying.”

At first, the 8-month-old dog was so frightened he began to urinate on himself. Thankfully, a passerby came to help Allen and the two were able to remove the tape.

The incident comes months after a now famous dog named Caitlyn was found in South Carolina with electrical tape secured around her muzzle. The dog’s abuser was caught and faces up to five years in jail.

Angered by what he witnessed (shown in the video below), Allen hopes the person responsible for this crime faces similar consequences.

“I hope karma comes back around and gets them real good,” Allen said. “They need to go to jail for something like that. That’s like tying a human being up.”

The dog, who didn’t have a microchip, is now in the care of the Denver Animal Shelter and is doing well.
