Pets can be quite a handful. In fact, at this very moment, my new kitten is trying to walk on my keyboard and my two older cats are knocking things over in the kitchen.
Animals are fun to have around, but they are a big responsibility and people don't often recognize just how much effort it takes to really care for a pet on a daily basis.
Owning a cat, a dog, a bird, or any other animal can be costly. Between food, toys, and vet appointments, it can really add up.
This may be the reason so many pets end up getting abandoned. People like the idea of having an animal in the house, but can't afford them in the long run. It's sad, but it's a common problem. It's also a reality that three blind cats from Dubai faced after being left behind by their previous owners.
Able-bodied pets are hard enough to care for, and many people are intimidated by the thought of adopting a handicapped animal.
But what happened when these three cats needed a forever home? Scroll down for their incredible story, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Blue, Meadow, and Little Willow were found abandoned in a warehouse in Dubai.
The poor cats had lost their ability to see after coming down with the cat flu.
Their previous owner was either unable or unwilling to have the cats treated and then abandoned them.
Luckily, they were moved to a foster home shortly after being found.
Blue, the oldest of the three, was soon adopted by their former owner's neighbor, but it didn't go well. Blue was confused and cried for his two sisters all night.
After that, they were all reunited at the foster home.
Catherine Mango caught wind of the story and felt the need to step in and help.
"I had zero experience, having adopted my first-ever rescue kitten just a couple of months prior," Mango explained to Bored Panda.
"But their story touched my heart so much that I couldn't bear the thought of them put in a cage at a vet facility indefinitely or even worse."
Mango was not only concerned about her lack of experience with taking care of animals, but also the sibling's special needs.
"My perception was that it's going to not only be challenging but will also require a lot of adjustments on my part," Mango said.
The new cat owner was surprised to find that the three siblings adapted incredibly fast.
With proper introductions, they even took to Mango's other cats extremely well.
"They quickly learned their way around my apartment and memorized where every bit of furniture is," Mango said.
Except for their lack of vision, Mango found that her new pets were just like any other cats.
"They each have their own personalities," Mango told Bored Panda, "but equally affectionate and wanting constantly to be by your side."
"It's true what they say about blind pets," said Mango.
"They see through their hearts."
